Philosophy
At SILA PILATES, we believe movement is a powerful tool for transformation—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Our method is rooted in the understanding that how you move shapes how you live. With intention and awareness, movement becomes not just functional, but freeing and restorative. The word SILA means “strength”. We define strength not simply as muscular power, but as a deep, quiet resilience built through mindful movement and trust in your body’s ability to evolve. Sessions at SILA take place in a private, focused setting where you are fully seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re recovering from injury, enhancing athletic performance, or simply seeking to move with greater ease, we meet you where you are—and guide you forward with clarity and care.
Strong

LIBERATING
Helping you move without fear, pain, or restriction.
Attentive
Hands-on, detail-oriented instruction that adjusts to your body in real time.

Meet Luba
Luba is a certified Pilates instructor with a distinctive background that bridges movement, clinical insight, and high-performance professional experience.
Born in Moscow and raised with a deep appreciation for classical ballet and holistic health, Luba draws on a lifetime of influences — from the elegance of the Bolshoi Theatre to the pioneering medical work of her grandmother, a neurologist and acupuncturist. After earning her degree and building a successful career in Corporate Finance in New York City, Luba’s path shifted when she took her first Pilates class in 2006 with a 71-year-old former ballerina. Inspired by the strength and grace she witnessed, she began her own Pilates training and soon found herself immersed in the study of movement and rehabilitation.
For over seven years, Luba worked side-by-side with licensed physical therapists in clinical settings where she gained extensive experience in injury recovery, joint dysfunction, and postural correction. This background shaped her attentive and highly individualized approach to teaching — combining classical Pilates principles with therapeutic insight.
Today, Luba is known for her intentional, hands-on style, her deep understanding of body mechanics, and her ability to create a safe, liberating space for clients to reconnect with their strength — both physically and mentally.
Her mission through SILA PILATES is to guide people toward lasting, intelligent movement and a deeper trust in their bodies.
